"The Four Day Class"
The 2007 Mini Camp
With the 2007 football season knocking on the door, the coaches decided to gather their flock, and show them how to kick that door in. On July 23rd-26th, the Greendale high school coaches held a clinic for all players in grades 8-12, to show them the ins and outs of playing football for the Panthers. This mini camp, which started at 3:30 and went to 7:00 in the evening, was held down at the practice facility at GHS. The camp was designed for all position players to attend. The guys were taught techniques and terminology, along with some X's and O's. "Out of a possible 140 boys that are scheduled to play football this year from the 8th grade on up, 105 of them sign up for this camp." said Coach Stoltz. "That is awesome!" The entire high school coaching staff was also present to greet these guys, which is a tribute to their dedication. It didn't take long for that little bit of rust to fall off, for they soon were back to right where they left off from last season. Some of the player's faces are familiar, some are new, and some are gone, but the game remains the same.
The youth team starts their season August 4th, while the high school starts their season August 6th with equipment handout. The varsity season opener is August 24th at Waukesha West.
